On Saturday, July 30th, I started out for India with a team of five. We started out in the morning with a flight from Jacksonville to New York.

All was good until the bus ride from hell as we attempted to reach Newark Airport from JFK. We had a six hour layover, and the ride ate up the afternoon. We almost missed our flight.

We had to transfer to a second bus in Manhattan, right outside of Grand Central. Not sure why one bus couldn’t take us there…

While waiting for the second bus, Ricky and Mat decided to try some “vibing.”

We finally reached Newark and were able to grab a bite before boarding.

Ricky took a few minutes as we waited in line to prepare his neck pillow. This pillow deflated multiple times during the flight.

Around fifteen hours later, we arrived at the new Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. Nicest airport ever.

Joseph of Joshua Tree Mercy Center welcomed us, along with his family, at the airport.

This was the first of many marigold garlands that we were to receive.

We stayed at the Hotel Grand Shoba for the first night. For dinner, we ate at the small restaurant at the Shoba. The ambiance was rather unique with a single light illuminating our dining experience.
