Our first full day in Shillong was a Sunday and we attended the morning service at the Shillong Vineyard.

The church was located on the second floor (which they call the first floor being above the ground floor) of this building.

We were treated to a wonderful lunch out by a brain surgeon and his family. Seriously, he was a brain surgeon and also fluent in five different languages. He was a very sweet and modest man, but the more time we spent with him, the more we were amazed by his numerous accomplishments.

After lunch, some of the church members decided to drive us to the highest peak in the hill station. It’s about 2000 meters above sea level.
